iPad Air 2020 vs iPad Air 2022: What is the difference?

The design
The iPad Air 2022 has the same sleek design as the iPad Air 2020. Both models have an aluminum body with flat sides and no home button. Although the models are similar at first glance, Apple has made some minor adjustments to the weight and color, among others.
Color - The biggest difference is the colors in which the iPad Air 2022 is available. On the iPad 2020 this was silver, space gray, rose gold, green and sky blue. The 2022 model is available in space gray, pink and the new colors of purple, blue and starlight.
Dimensions - The dimensions of both models are the same with a height of 247.66 mm, a width of 178.5 mm and a depth of 6.1 mm.
Weight - The iPad Air is known for its lightweight feel. At 462 grams, the latest model is only 2 grams heavier than its predecessor.

The screen
Both iPads have a 10.9-inch screen with a resolution of 2360 x 1640 pixels. A Liquid Retina display with a brightness of 500 nits and True Tone support has also been chosen again.
The Camera
The rear camera of the new iPad Air has remained the same with a 12MP wide-angle camera with an aperture of 1.8. The iPad Air 2022 allows videos to be recorded in 4k at 1080p and 720p resolution.
The front camera of the new iPad Air has been improved. The 7MP camera has been replaced by a 12MP camera with an aperture of 2.4. In addition, the camera supports Center Stage, has a dynamic range and you can zoom out up to 2 times.

Our conclusion is that the iPad Air 2022 is not much different from its predecessor in terms of appearance. The iPad Air 2022 did go through some technical changes including a better front camera, a chip with more power and the support of 5G.
