We are reducing the number of returns
According to Business Insider, returns cause as much CO 2 as 2200 car rides from Hamburg to Moscow. About 4% of all returns also end up in the trash, not to mention the unnecessary packaging waste that arises from return shipments. These numbers shocked us and drove us to action!
Of course, not all returns can be avoided. But our exact product descriptions, high-quality pictures and videos prevent incorrect purchases. Our qualified customer service helps our customers to identify and fix any defects. Our customer service is always available to answer any questions from our customers and will help to find teh correct solution. Within seconds you will be advised from Monday to Thursday from 9:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. (Friday until 5:00 p.m.) in the chat, by telephone and e-mails are always processed within one working day!
We generally also avoid partial shipments. A partial shipment means that if a customer orders several items, these will be sent individually. At SB Supply we avoid this by only approving partial shipments at the request of customer. This avoids unnecessary journeys and packaging.
A controversial decision that we have made in this context is that our customers have to pay for the return shipping themselves. This decision does not come from the fact that we want to save costs, but rather that we want to make our customers aware of the costs for the environment caused by return shipments. With this regulation, we want to prevent customers from ordering unnecessary things and later changing their minds. But of course, our customers receive a paid return label in the event of a warranty claim.
Sustainability starts in the office
Actually, sustainability starts before the office - on the way to work. At SB Supply, all employees are motivated to come to work by bike. This is not only good for the health of employees, but also for the environment. According to Focus, every person consumes an average of 2.6 kilograms of CO 2 (calculated economically) on their way to and from the office.
Of course, we also started environmental protection in our office. Our servers have been CO 2 -neutral for a long time and our office is 99% paperless. The one percent comes from the correspondence with authorities or partners, which is unfortunately unavoidable. We use electricity and energy efficiently because our office is in a co-working space and nobody, not even the managing director, has their own office. This avoids wasting resources such as space and electricity. The offices are also equipped with beautiful plants - these are not only decorative, but also increase the air quality in the office! Unnecessary business trips are avoided as much as possible and replaced by video conferences. Of course, recycling and upcycling are important to us as well! We have also paid attention to sustainability in the kitchen of our office - there is no trace of plastic/ paper plates and plastic cutlery here! The coffee machine is of course capsule-free and plastic bottles are also not welcome here.

SB Supply tries whenever possible, to include sustainable brands in our range. We pay attention to the CO 2 balance sheet of our partners to ensure that sustainable and responsible resources are used. Natural materials such as wood, leather and biodegradable materials are particularly important to us.
