QWERTZ Swiss

The QWERTZ Swiss keyboard is used in Switzerland and is designed for both German and French. Unlike a QWERTY keyboard, the positions of the Y and Z are swapped. The Enter/Return key is L-shaped and the left Shift key is smaller because there is an extra key next to it. Characteristic of this layout are the separate keys for frequently used letters with accents, such as é, è, à, ü, ö, and ä. This makes the keyboard suitable for typing in multiple Swiss languages. Additionally, various punctuation marks and special characters, such as @, \, [ ] and { }, are positioned differently than on other QWERTY keyboards and are often entered using AltGr.
