Equipped with advanced OmniSense® sensors, the LitterHopper continuously monitors the litter level. When the litter falls below the MAX fill line, the system automatically dispenses fresh litter during the next cleaning cycle. The dispenser runs for up to 20 seconds per cycle and pauses while the globe rotates. If additional litter is required, it continues refilling during the following cycle, ensuring precise and efficient performance without overfilling.
Large-Capacity Hopper for Extended Use
The hopper holds up to 13 cups of litter, approximately 17 pounds of clumping clay litter, providing multiple days of hands-free operation before a refill is needed. This generous capacity reduces the frequency of manual refilling and makes daily litter maintenance significantly easier.

Compatible with Select Litter Types
The system is compatible with clumping clay litter and other lightweight granules, such as crystal litter, that pass through the Litter-Robot 4’s sifting system. It is not suitable for wood pellets, biodegradable litter, or heavy non-clumping materials, as these may interfere with proper dispensing.
Smart Fill-Level Calibration & Indoor Reliability
When activated, the current litter level is set as the optimal fill height. The LitterHopper only dispenses litter once the level drops below this calibrated point, ensuring efficient usage and consistent performance.
